Dean Senator Judith Zaffirini is positioned uniquely to advance policies to cut property taxes and bring down costs so Texas families can keep more of what they’ve earned. This will ensure Texas remains the best place to live and work.

She believes strongly that all working Texans deserve a living wage and paid sick and maternity/paternity leave. She also understands that creating high-quality jobs doesn’t simply happen: It requires action, including investing in modern technologies such as wind and solar energy; building and maintaining our roads, bridges, dams, and schools; expanding access to broadband internet; and providing world-class education and job training to every Texan.

When the Texas Legislature meets in 2027, Senator Zaffirini will be at the forefront of sponsoring new jobs legislation, such as free community college job training programs, infrastructure construction, higher minimum wages, and worker safety programs.
